“I still haven’t given up Norway, and if it is God’s will, I would like to go back one day.”

A review of “Kristine, Finding Home: Norway to America” in 100 words by Catherine Stover

There are two groups of readers who will love this book. Descendants of Norwegian immigrants (like me) who have grown up hearing about wanting to go back to Norway someday will recognize many of the situations here. It’s a story about the author’s grandparents’ decision to move to America long enough to earn money to buy a farm back in Norway. I also recommend this book to writers who are looking for a book that demonstrates how to write family history successfully. It’s as engaging as a novel, while being true to the facts from letters and other primary sources.
